Given the high needs of our Queens clients and our long history in the borough, Safe Space made the strategic decision to focus the agency's resources on children and families in Southeast Queens. In July 2010, we consolidated most of our Jamaica-based services (which were located across four different locations) and our administrative and financial offices (which were located in Manhattan) into our new Headquarters. Located at 89-74 162nd Street in the heart of downtown Jamaica, the Headquarters are convenient to several subway lines and bus routes.
The consolidation of our programmatic and administrative functions has many advantages and will result in administrative efficiencies, service delivery improvements, better intra-agency communication and stronger program management.
