Twenty-eight outstanding participants in the Out of School Time program at P.S. 215 received special awards from State Senator Malcolm Smith on June 11, 2010. As part of OST's enrichment activities, students at the Far Rockaway school created a miniature society featuring everything from a government to a bank to a business sector. Awards were given in the following categories: most microsociety spirited; extraordinary worker; and most business sense.
